Astute Transport Planning Expands Board
Astute has today announced the expansion of its Board with the appointments of Richard Whiting and Adam Smith. The expanded team previously worked together at SLR and Vectos, where they focused on providing transport planning advice to the development industry.
Adam and Richard, who have worked together for almost 20 years and bring with them a collective 50 years of experience, are joining as Directors.
They have previously worked on a variety of significant schemes across the northwest and further afield, including for Peel, Bruntwood, Homes England, Muse, Sainsbury's, Harworth, iQ Student Accommodation, Landsec, Wirral Growth Company, English Cities Fund, BP, Gleeson Homes, Wain Estates and Redrow.
Phil Tilby, Director, said, 'After a bright start to our new business, we are thrilled to be joined by Richard and Adam at Astute. We have all worked together for a number of years and they bring with them so much project experience, knowledge of the local area and contacts within Local Authority Highway Departments'.
Richard Whiting stated, 'After a short break I am delighted to join with Phil, Olly and Adam and continue my transport planning career. I look forward to reconnecting with colleagues and supporting clients to bring forward great projects'.
Adam Smith concluded, 'Having recently operated in a senior management role, where I looked after a number of regional transport planning teams, I am looking forward to getting back to the day job and working within an independent and specialist consultancy. My values match those of Astute, who aim to have senior input into every project and who understand the benefit of providing thorough, early advice.'
Since its launch in July, Astute have been asked to consider over 50 sites, both across the northwest and further afield including in Glasgow, Birmingham and London.
